George Merguerian is Senior Partner and Managing Director of Europe for Business Management Consultants, a leading global consultancy in Project Management.

Throughout his 22-year career, George held senior technical/engineering, line management, marketing and management development positions for international organisations in construction, petrochemicals/oil, and automotive industries. He has managed operations, projects/contracts for Foster Wheeler, GS1, Cummins, MCE and Schlumberger in Europe, Asia and the Middle-East.

During the e-commerce boom (1995-2001) George lead projects in global distribution, logistics and supply management in the automotive, FMCG sectors in cooperation with major consultancies like AT Kearney, and Deloitte & Touche.

George has expert knowledge in Quality, Technology Management, Project Management and Organisation Development and developed these areas of practice at Management Centre Europe in Brussels.

George has helped establish best practices in strategy development and implementation, Organisation Development and Project and Change Management at leading European companies coming from the engineering, pharmaceutical and IT fields as well as, public institutions like the European Commission. George holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), a member of the Project Management Institute and a Board Member of the Society of European Engineers and Industrialists (SEII). George is on the faculty of MBA programs of a number of Business Schools in Europe such as Rotterdam School of Management, The International Management Institute in Kiev and others. He has authored and co-authored papers on technical and management subjects.
