In response to its clients requests for more advanced and specific Project/Program Management Office (PMO) responsibility development, Business Management Consultants (BMC) has created a program that provides the understanding behind what ‘advanced’ training and development means, provides the knowledge behind the different types of PMO and their components, and looks in detail at those various components.
This program is aimed at the more ‘seasoned’ professional project/program managers and people working and/or leading PMO activities. The program covers the follow core areas:
Definition and understanding of advanced project management
Different types of PMO
Roles and Responsibilities of the PMO
Project/Program Portfolio management
Project/Program classification, ranking and prioritization
Project personnel assessment, selection, recruitment and development
Organizational baseline and assessment
Tool selection and development
Resource and capacity planning
This program is built upon BMC’s vast experience of more than 22 years of having conducted assignments with organizations such as BAE SYSTEMS, NASA, the Kingdom of Bahrain Ministry of Works and Housing AIRBUS, GSK, NASDA, SONY, Coca Cola and others and is available in a two or three day format. The program can also be customized to an individual organization’s own methodology and approach, and can be converted into a consulting workshop whereby an organization’s own PMO practices can be designed, developed and/or enhanced.
Faced with increasing competitive pressures, in rapidly changing and technically challenging international environments, organizations are adopting flexible strategies and structures to maintain its global leadership, to speed improved quality and services to market and provide “best-in-class” levels of customer satisfaction. This system of management, however, has presented challenges to organizations as to how they support such a way of working.
