The International Athens Conference on Project Management Best Practices has concluded its fourth annual event on 15 June 2009. More than 150 delegates, among them were project managers, academics, senior executives, students and consultants, attended the gathering of top project management experts from Greece and around the world. The conference was rated with high scores – 8% - compared to other conferences that participants have attended.
This year’s special guest Mr. Steven Gonzalez, Deputy Manager of the Advanced Projects Office, NASA Johnson Space Center, along with 14 experts from the international and local market, offered a variety of presentations, where most of them concentrated on the value of people in successful projects.

This year, special attention was given to the development of a Greek Project Management Baseline. This issue was challenged by both the Scheme Committee of PM Greece, responsible for the development of this Baseline, together with representatives of the public and private sector and a representative from the PMI Athens Greece Chapter.
