Marijana Oremus started her career as medical professional and worked in medical practice for eight years before joining PLIVA Pharmaceutical Industry, Inc. In 2003 she was appointed Head of the Clinical Trials Department. Presently Marijana is working as a partner in SYNOVIA Ltd, a company for consulting and development of ready to use solutions in the medical and marketing area.
Dr. Oremus experience has given her a broad and deep knowledge of clinical projects and its various complexities including international, multicenter clinical trials. By leading central clinical trials department she was responsible for identifying and utilizing clinical support opportunities throughout the company in order to create synergies between clinical teams as well as with medical professionals in the larger community. Her expertise lies in the clinical trials working processes as well as system improvements and innovations.
With the recent changes in the regulatory environment, Dr. Oremus has worked to develop risk management models in peri- and post-approval safety surveillance projects. She was a member of PLIVA Innovation Team and PLIVA Global Safety Board.
Other aspects of her role included coordination and supervision of scientific conferences and congresses, preparation and organization of scientific programs for symposiums and workshops, development of medical platforms, KOL management, communication and consultations with Regulatory Agencies, cross departmental collaboration regarding medical/clinical support for Registration, Pharmacovigilance, R&D and Biotechnology Department.
Within PLIVA, Dr. Oremus also worked outside her department with Packaging Redesign, PLIVA Branding Project and Electronic Document Management System Project.
Dr. Oremus earned her medical degree from The University of Zagreb Medical School, Croatia and currently is attending PHARMED, the Postgraduate Programme in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Medical School of Université Libre de Bruxelles.
