Andreas Romanos is Director Russia/CIS for Business Management Consultants, a leading global consultancy in Project Management.

Since gaining his MBA at INSEAD in 1988 Andreas has worked in frontline management positions for multinational, industrial blue chips:  Cummins Engine Company, Eaton Corporation and Henkel KGaA.  More recently he worked as CEO of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the organisation representing European business interests in Russia.

Andreas’s career has focused mainly on Russia, the CIS and Central/Eastern Europe since 1989. His assignments there, all as regional head, focused on change management and growth – delivering order out of chaos and turning loss to profit.

They also involved him in many complex and cross-border projects – for example: 
the development of Cummins’ major construction and mining OEM in Belarus – working with internal and external suppliers to supply complex power generation sets, establish local assembly, set up a joint venture.
secondment to KamAZ, the world’s #1 heavy truck maker, to lead strategic development project teams
leadership and participation in project teams at Henkel:
developing local production and supply capability for Ford, GM, Renault and local OEMS;
establishing quality standards within the Russian organisation
setting up teams to run sections of customers’ production lines;
cross-functional project team (Germany & Russia) to set up a 2nd production plant
At the AEB Andreas formed and participated in Project Teams to launch new publications and public events, and to improve, establish and document internal procedures.

Andreas was educated in the UK (secondary education at Westminster School and BA Hons in Russian from Exeter University) and later received his MBA from INSEAD in France. He speaks English, French, Greek, Russian and Spanish, and is developing his Dutch.
