Miguel Andrade is BMC’s Business Development Manager for Latin America. In addition to his consulting and course delivery responsibilities, Miguel is developing new client relationships in the region. Born and raised in Mexico City, Miguel has more than 10 years experience managing domestic (Mexico) and International IT Projects (across Latin America & US) with transnational and global companies from a variety of industries including Data Processing, Hosting, and Related Services, Warehousing and Storage, Telecommunications, Insurance, Telecommunications, Manufacture, Water distribution and Entertainment.
For over 5 years he worked on several internal projects at IBM Global Services for a cross-section of departments including Sales, Distribution, Internal Communications, Business Management, IT services, Marketing Intelligence, R&D. He has provided business process consulting services to Nissan Mexicana supporting the implementation of a Software Development Process (CMMI level 3) and developed policies and procedures for internal communications issued by their IT department. As a project manager, he has managed various strategic IT projects in MetLife México coordinating internal and outsourcing engineers from a number of major IT companies including IBM, HP, Hildebrando and Accenture.
Miguel is also an experienced leader of virtual teams, developing tailored software products (ERPs, CRMs, on-line applications) for medium sized companies and non-profit organizations in México and US, where he has also lived for a total of nearly 6 years.
Mr. Andrade has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Electronics and Communication plus graduate studies toward a Specialization in Teaching, and he is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by Project Management Institute (PMI).
