Karel is a Principal BMC Consultant with Project management and sustainable development as his core competence since 2001. Prior to that he was Director of Marketing and ICT at Management Centre Europe for ten years. He was also a training facilitator and speaker at Valoris Academy (Antwerp University).

Karel was nominated for Information Technology Manager of the Year, Data News, 1994 and for the eTrends award 2003 for an e-Learning project.   His particular project management experiences includes:

•  Project manager of a total ICT revamp at Management Centre Europe

•  PProject manager of an ISO 9001-2000 certification process

•  Project manager of a revamp of marketing communications (yearly budget of € 6.000.000)

•  Project manager of a major e-Learning programme for Flemish schools (€ 800.000)

•  Project manager of the Communication Programme of the European Commission in Turkey (€ 4.000.000)

•  Project assessment consultant for Africa, Asia and the Pacific on major projects (€ 50 million) financed by the European Commission.
