Alan is an Associate Consultant with Business Management Consultants. He is an experienced project manager and implementer of Quality Systems with proven ability within a variety of industries demonstrated by the achievement of quality project work to budget and within timescale.

Alan specializes in the design and implementation of project management methodologies and the tailoring of such methodologies to suit individual businesses.  Alan’s particular strength is in training the people to use the project management systems. His professional career of more than thirty years’ began within railway engineering and then aircraft engineering and communication systems, before furthering his experience in Quality Management, Project Management and the development of project management training systems working for a large UK IT Company. He has led a variety of multi disciplinary teams in project management and has a natural, successful style of management based on performance and team development. 

His recent projects have included creating a methodology for building power stations and power generation devices, a Job-matching and Job Evaluation software and training project for the UK National Health Service and the introduction of a Project Management measurement tool for a multi-national telecommunications company.  His present part-time project is to create a Thames Valley (Field) Hockey Centre of Excellence including an iconic pavilion, 2 state-of-the-art pitches and a training area as well as re-siting four tennis pitches.

Alan is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and Approved Trainer, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
